Emergency Information
Information Resource
All information will be provided by authorized personnel for the jurisdiction managing a particular aspect of the emergency. During an emergency, organizations may also issue press releases to the media. We encourage you to rely on official sources of information and not to be distracted by rumors and unofficial social media posts.
Warn Central Texas
Warn Central Texas is an emergency notification system provided by the Capitol Area Council of Governments. Registering with Warn Central Texas allows local officials to contact their communities by phone, email and text during times of disasters or public safety events.
Hays Informed Website
The Hays Informed blog is used by Hays County and other authorized jurisdictions throughout Hays County - emergency responders, school districts, cities, utilities, law enforcement, etc. - to provide long-term emergency information in a major emergency situation.
This site provides a one-stop, coordinated emergency information page designed to provide accurate, real-time emergency information for the public and media from agencies throughout Hays County.
