Spring Lake Outdoor Education Program (SLOEP)
The City of San Marcos Parks and Recreation and Texas State University's Department of Health and Human Performance present this unique afterschool program for students who attend Miller Middle school.
Students who are registered to participate in the SLOEP after school program will be bussed to the Spring Lake Meadows Center at 4:10 immediately following their last class. Throughout the program they will have the chance to learn about various outdoor activities including shelter building, archery, kayaking, dry fishing, mountain biking, and team building activities! The program will end at 5:45 and students will need to be picked up by a parent or guardian no later than 6:00 PM.
We will be offering 2 different SLOEP programs for Miller students this semester. One will be Tuesdays and Thursdays and one will be on Mondays and Wednesdays. The activities offered at each program will be the same, but they will be taught by different students from Texas State.
