Short-term Road Projects

East San Antonio Street: Every Saturday from 7:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., half a block of the street closed from the Alley to N. LBJ for the Farmers Market on the Square. Contact Main Street Program at 512-393-8430 for more information.

Long-term Road Projects

River Road: Expect Delays along River Road between Animal Shelter Road and Christopher Street starting July 17 through December 20 for utility installation. Contact Diego Ratchford at 512-250-8310 for more information.

Conway Drive Sidewalk Project: Conway Drive between River Road and Bugg Lane will undergo construction of a new sidewalk starting August 21 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Contact Eddie Dry at 512-393-8036 for more information.

Alto Street: The 700 block of Alto Street will be closed starting September 11 to October 6 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility installation. Contact Michael Snyder with Cedar Hills Construction at 737-351-6970 for more information. 

Waco Street: The 800 block of Waco Street will be closed starting September 5 to September 11 from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. for utility installation. Contact Michael Snyder with Cedar Hills Construction at 737-351-6970 for more information. 

IH-35 

Milestone #2: The South Bound Frontage Road will be closed at CM Allen Parkway to McKie Street with all traffic detoured through CM Allen Parkway to Hopkins Street and down Guadalupe Street. Starting January 5, 2022. Contact the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Construction Project Manager Mike Harlin at 512-487-9501 for more information.

Milestone #1: IH-35 Southbound Mainlane Bridge at SH-123 was dismantled and through traffic was shifted to east. Once the Southbound Mainlane Bridge is constructed, the traffic will be transitioned back to the newly constructed Southbound Mainlane bridge, and Northbound IH-35 Bridge will be dismantled and reconstructed.
