Goal
The goal of the Planning and Development Services Department is to effectively and adequately execute the needs and services of San Marcos residents by way of implementing Council enacted ordinances. There are several divisions that make up the Planning and Development Services Department. These include Planning, Permit & Inspections, and Community Initiatives and Housing. Additionally, we work with several Boards and Commissions including the Planning and Zoning Commission, Zoning Boards of Adjustments, and Historic Preservation Commission.
